Globe Santa

28 Nov

The Boston Globe and Boston.com printed an article Saturday about our event this Wednesday – have a look here. In it, they give a little background on Eddie Doyle’s history with Globe Santa, and how he and his band of Spirited Bostonians throughout the years have been raising money for the charity. Also, they tell how for over 50 years Globe Santa has been providing Christmas gifts to needy families in Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts.
We hope you can make it down to the Rattlesnake Bar & Grill on the 30th for the Rattlin’ Around the Christmas Tree event, which goes from 7 to 10pm. We’re requesting a donation be made at the door of $20, with checks payable to the Globe Santa Fund. If you can’t make it, please consider making a donation to Globe Santa’s First Giving page (click here).
If you are planning on coming down, please remember to bring an ornament for the Christmas tree! We’ll be donating the tree to the Neely House at Tufts Medical Center (Floating Hospital).
Just an update on items: Eddie has contributed a couple of his “Bahtoonies” to the Live auction, and it seems that we have been given an electric guitar for the silent auction!
See you Wednesday!
